Michael Snyder, MD, FACS, FASMBS, is the Medical Director of the Bariatric Surgery Center at Rose Medical Center in Denver. He is also the Founder and Director of the Denver Center for Bariatric Surgery Foundation and the Director of the Adolescent Bariatric Surgical Program at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.
Dr. Snyder has been performing bariatric surgery since 2002 and has performed more than 12,000 bariatric surgical procedures. His practice is at the forefront of the Metabolic and Medical (weight loss shots) weight-loss revolution and is a regional leader in this arena. Dr. Snyder has seen first-hand the benefits of medical and surgical interventions and he has helped his patients achieve the results they want without some of the negative aspects of rapid weight loss.
Dr. Snyder’s passion for bariatric and metabolic care and surgery is based on his clinical experience that obesity is a vastly under-treated diseases, affecting not just health but quality and length of life. He is committed to applying cutting edge science and state-of-the-art technologies and medications, via an integrated, team-based approach, to give his patients hope and results.
Snyder is a thought leader in the use of the new generation of GLP-1 agonist medications (e.g. Semaglutide and Terzepatide) in a multi-tiered approach to weight loss and health improvement. He lectures worldwide, educating providers on multi-modal approaches to safe and effective weight loss.
Dr. Snyder received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Snyder became interested in bariatric surgery during his residency at Oregon Health Sciences University and he went on to complete an American Society for Bariatric Surgery-certified preceptorship.
An internationally published author of Full: A Life Without Dieting, Dr. Snyder is an active member and Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is a long-standing and active member of the Society for Advanced Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (Board Certified in General Surgery).
Dr. Asela Russell, M.D.
Dr. Asela Russell MD is a dedicated OB and GYN specialist with a passion for women's health that blends science with compassion. A board-certified graduate of the Duke University School of Medicine, she honed her skills during her residency at the University of California, San Francisco. With two years of experience at Indian Health Services in Fort Defiance, Arizona, Dr. Russell is well-versed in hormone therapy and provides comprehensive care for women at every stage of life. She is well known for being one of the top Biote providers here in the Denver Metro Area and Greenwood Village area. Her expertise also extends to the aesthetic realm, stay ahead of the trends of the wellness industry. She offers a vast knowledge in weight loss medications and has created the “timeless Body” membership and coaching program. Dr. Russell also offers services such as Botox and Fillers, she is certified in Vampire facials, combining her medical knowledge with a focus on enhancing beauty from the inside out.
Dr. Haeussner is a Stanford educated Board Certified Anesthesiologist who has been in practice for over 14 years and served as President of the Medical Staff at The Medical Center of Aurora. She has extensive training through the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and is a member of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS). She is certified in Aesthetic Medicine and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy and is specifically focused on bringing a precision-focused medical approach to expand the breadth of Ageless Expression’s expertise to include longevity medicine and personalized, comprehensive care.
Dr Norman is board certified in both Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. She attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and completed her Family Medicine residency at Rose Medical Center.
She works at the Intermountain Health Brighton Clinic, where she practices Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine.
